1. Lubai: A part of the warp or weft is flipped or moved to the front and back of the fabric, showing a pattern that resembles the traces left after being scratched. Most of the defects are caused by poor penetration of the color paste of the printing machine and improper handling after printing (uneven tension, etc.).

2. Splashing: The printing paste of the printing machine is not poured smoothly on the fabric, but splashed or splashed on the fabric, resulting in color spots or splashes.

3. Blurred pattern: The edges of the pattern are not smooth and the lines are not clear, most of which are often caused by improper singeing or improper color paste concentration.

4. Improper pattern alignment: due to the misalignment of the printing machine cylinder or the printing machine screen in the longitudinal direction, the alignment of the front and rear patterns is inaccurate. This defect is also called misregistration or pattern shift.

5. Stop printing: Because the printing machine stops suddenly during the printing process and then starts up again, color stripes are produced on the fabric as a result.

6. Frame marks (frame printing, take-off): The printed part shows abnormal streaks in the shape of the frame of the pattern. Most of them are caused by poor conveyor belts, poor installation of pattern frames and other reasons.

7. Print slopping: Smearing of printing paste due to friction before it dries.

8. Uneven coloring of the print (mottling): Part of the print becomes mottled like the shape of a shark's skin. This defect mostly occurs when the viscosity of the color paste is inappropriate, the mesh of the screen is not selected properly, or the patching is uneven.

9. Bleeding (melting): The color of the printed pattern bleeds out, the outline of the pattern is not clear, and the color is blurred. It is caused by the low viscosity of the color paste, the concentration of the dyestuff is extremely thick, the amount of printing paste is too much or the amount of hygroscopic agent is too much.

10. Color matching stain (color matching): the stain caused by the color of the printed pattern contaminating other parts. Most of them occur when the printing table is not clean, the drying is not enough after printing and overlaps each other, or the fabrics are in contact with each other during the steaming process. In Japan, some factories use such a control method to adjust the tension of the fabric as a rope to carry out thorough washing.

11. Insufficient color paste (de-sizing): that is, the color of the pattern part is lacking. It usually occurs when the color paste is not replenished in time, the pressure of the squeegee is uneven, the hardness of the squeegee is improper, the relay of the squeegee is faulty, the surface of the printing table has unevenness, the viscosity of the color paste and the paste are not suitable.

12. Poor pattern joints (block print): the pattern overlaps or does not match (disconnected) at the point where the pattern is connected. It is mostly caused by poor adjustment of the conveyor belt or improper adjustment of the eye of the table plate, which affects the accuracy of the flower position.

13. Misalignment of pattern (set crooked, inaccurate pattern): it is a printed product with misplaced pattern. Most of them occur in the cases of inaccurate flower alignment, poor engraving, and poor patching.

14. Partial embrittlement: On printed fabrics, areas where one or more colors are printed are often damaged, usually due to overuse of damaging chemicals in the printing paste. This problem can also be found in the discharge area of discharge printed fabrics.
